I wanted to create a beach resort vibe by using hand-glazed aqua blue tile in the kitchen and master bath. Opened up and doubled the size of the kitchen by removing fireplace between dining and kitchen. By doing so, added tons of light to what was a tiny kitchen. Also removed the walls between living room, dining room and kitchen. Raised kitchen ceiling. Installed luxury plank vinyl floors throughout the whole house, creating a unified flow to all the rooms. New quartz counter tops with blue specks to match the blue tile back splash. Added bronze hardware to new Shaker cabinets with crown molding. In the master suite bath, I combined the existing bath and closet to create one huge space with dual barn doors, soaking tub, large shower and 60” two sink marble top vanity. The master suite’s French doors lead to a new patio courtyard to complete the beach resort feel.
