SILVER STREET

This is a 1914 double porch 2800 square foot home in historic Springfield. I wanted to keep that historic quality while redesigning this Frame Vernacular home. Started by demoing the whole kitchen, bath and utility room. Converted tiny bath into 1/2 bath off kitchen. Installed new flooring in kitchen and bath with a tile reminiscent of a 1930’s grand hotel. Chose soft-close Shaker cabinets, bronze hardware and 80 square feet of granite. Create separate beverage area with wine cooler, wine rack and glass front uppers. Finished the kitchen with recess lights, Edison island lights and crown molding. In the master suite, added new windows for more light. Completely redesigned the master bath with huge 2 person shower and dual sink vanity. The final touches were restoring and refinishing all original built-ins and heart pine wood floors.
